We’re delighted to announce that we’ve just been awarded a grant from the PRS for Music Foundation’s Women Make Music programme, which will support us to create, record and tour new material. After a rather hectic schedule last year, we are thoroughly enjoying taking some time out to work on new tracks with our producer, Mick Ross.
We will be showcasing some of the new material on a 9-date UK tour with two other female-fronted acts – Gilmore & Roberts and Heg & The Wolf Chorus (more info here) – and will release the first finished tracks in April.
The Women Make Music programme aims to increase the profile of women who are creating new music in the UK, raise awareness of the gender gap, ensure that women are aware that support for new music is available to them and break down assumptions and stereotypes within the music industry by encouraging role models for future generations.
